local councils sending private home owners QuestionnareMy neighbour has just brought a letter around to show me
It is from the local council and has a questionnare enclosed to be filled out, all to do with if the property you live in is up to standard
(ie)
adequate heating system
insulation
if the design of the property is to your satisfaction
as well as numerous other questions.
How this has got anything to do with the local council if you own your property is unbelievable
This is being sent out to all private tenants and home owners.
It clearly states that they may be able to help
I personally think that it is a sneaky way of snooping into peoples business.
Remember that there was alot of coverage by the news not so long ago about council tax snoopers that they will be imposing more charges on people who have conservatories, patios etc basically you will be penalised for all the home improvements that you may have done to your home.
How much lower will they stoop? Many gullible people will fill this questionnnare out with out thinking of its consequences.

Heven, I'm a Council Tenant, and recently all tenents recieved a questionnaire in booklet form, asking many and sometimes personal questions. There were two that I strongly objected to, and these were, "What would you say is your sexuality. Hetrosexual, Bisexual, Gay Man, Lesbian?"
The other was: "What is your religion"?
I strongly objected to both these questions, and made a "Formal Complaint" to my Housing Office,
I was informed that I wasn't the first person who had complained. I replied angrily, that I won't be the last, either.
This is just a step too far again, IMO. Also, they asked your "Enthnicty".
I put down, "English"!
